What we do
Our foundation supports several programs and hosts two cornerstone events
For decades, the Alpha Psi Lambda Foundation has proudly partnered with community organizations, leaders, and businesses to deliver impactful programs and learning opportunities. The foundation is dedicated to fostering positive change through a variety of initiatives, including youth mentoring programs, educational seminars, and workshops. Our focus areas span critical topics such as financial literacy, human trafficking awareness, internet safety, teen mental health, and more. Thanks to the generous donations from our partners and friends, we are able to make these transformative events and initiatives possible.
Young Pharoahs Mentoring Program
Young Pharaohs Program is a mentoring program for middle and high school males that nurtures positive thinking while cultivating character, integrity, fellowship, leadership, and academic excellence. The program meets several Saturdays each month and every participant is given guidance to help them reach their full potential and be the best student in their schools and citizen in their communities.
emPOWERing KINGS Mentoring Program
emPOWERing KINGS, a multi-session education curriculum and mentoring program designed to prioritize the sexual and reproductive health education of Black high school and college-aged young men.
Alpha Psi Lambda Foundation Scholarship
This annual scholarship is awarded to a minority male high school student who plans to further his education at a technical or four-year institution of higher learning. The recipient of this award must show need-based and excel in academics and leadership on his campus and in the community.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Dream Keepers Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded to individuals who display unselfish service, political involvement, and a social or economic need, among other criteria. To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must be male and enrolled in an elementary, middle, or high school with a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
Providence Home for Men
The chapter annually volunteers at the Providence Home for Men that are overcoming homelessness. We engage our members, their family, friends, and neighbors, and fully integrating themselves back into society.

Step into a night of elegance, purpose, and old Hollywood charm as the Alpha Psi Lambda Foundation proudly presents the annual Masquerade Scholarship Gala Great Gatsby Edition! This highly anticipated evening is where philanthropy meets sophistication, as guests come together to celebrate education, empowerment, and community upliftment.
ANNUALLY in MAY
A distinguished fundraising event capturing the allure and grandeur of the iconic Kentucky Derby. Organized as a fundraiser by the Alpha Psi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Alpha Psi Lambda Foundation, this event is a perfect fusion of entertainment and philanthropy.
